Knallkekse are transformed Yoshi Cookies that appear in the Club Nintendo comic "Blast Corps in Yoshis Knallkekse".

At the beginning, Yoshi, while delivering a truckload of Yoshi Cookies on a freeway in southern California, Kamek suddenly appears and puts a spell on his truck, leaving him on the road while his truck continues on without him. The spell also turns the Yoshi Cookies into Knallkekse, which are later revealed to have negative side effects when the truck's hatches open and drop them all over a nearby town; all of the people of who have eaten the cookies do insane things, such as pulling trash cans over their heads, hitting themselves with hammers, and spitting at each other.

At this time, the Blast Corps and Yoshi arrive in the town, with Netty suggesting that Kamek turned the Yoshi Cookies into Knallkekse. Yoshi suggests that they call Dr. Light to help, and they call him, with him starting to work on an antidote for the Knallkekse. Meanwhile, Netty is informed that the truck containing the Knallkekse is headed for the town's zoo and that the animals will turn into monsters if they try the cookies. The truck is directly ahead of them, and the two try to make it stop by crashing into it from behind, but are unsuccessful. However, the robots from the Blast Corps manage to stop the truck by shooting rockets at it and crushing it by jumping on it. In this moment, Dr. Light arrives in a helicopter, and the narrator explains that he was able to make an antidote. While administering the antidote to the people affected by the Knallkekse, the Blast Corps collects the cookies left over. However, they miss one cookie, which is detected by a lizard.
