Danger, Bob-omb! Danger! (known as Run, Bob-omb, Run! in multiplayer) is an Action minigame that appears in New Super Mario Bros.
The music for this minigame is a cover of "Castle BGM" from Super Mario Bros.
Gameplay[edit]
The player guides a Bob-omb Buddy running around and avoiding fireballs and the flame breath spat out by a mechanical Bowser Statue. The player controls the Bob-omb Buddy by using the stylus. A point is earned for every frame that the Bob-omb Buddy survives, equating to 60 points being earned per second of gameplay. As time goes on, the speed and number of the incoming fireballs increase. Hitting a fireball or the flame breath causes the Bob-omb Buddy to light and explode instantly, ending the game.
In the multiplayer version, each player has three lives. Like in single-player mode, if the Bob-omb Buddies touch any hazards, they explode and lose a life. When all the other Bob-omb Buddies lose all three lives, the last Bob-omb Buddy standing is the winner. The game also has adjustable difficulty. The harder it is, the more fireballs and the more frequent Bowser Statue breaths there are.
