Monstermama, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

A Starslap is a pink starfish enemy found in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They live in Rose Way, where they primarily spend their time sleeping underwater. However, Starslaps do have the ability to hover in the air, and occasionally fly over dry land to attack intruders. While hovering in the air, Starslaps tend to make circular patterns moving outwards. In battle, a Starslap attacks by slapping its opponent multiple times. Starslaps also know the Recover dance, allowing them to heal themselves or other monsters.

In Monstro Town, there is a Starslap on the second floor of Monstermama's house. Whenever the player walks up to it, it performs a dance for them. The tune it dances to is actually the third composition to be performed for Toadofsky.

Starslaps are close relatives of Zeostars. If a character uses the Star Egg item, a Starslap and two Zeostars dance around the screen.
