Template:Item-infobox The Super Crown is an item that made its debut in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. The Super Crown can only be used by Toadette; other characters only merely get a 10-coin bonus. If Toadette picks one up in a level, she transforms into Peachette, a Princess Peach lookalike that gives her the ability to Double Jump, and perform Peach's Floating Jump, controlling identically to the Flying Squirrel form (without the wall-clinging ability). Additionally, she automatically gets boosted if she falls into pits. However, if she attempts the maneuver twice in a row, Peachette will fall into the pit and lose a life. The Super Crown's top appears to resemble the mushroom head of Toadette, being pink with white spots.

The Super Crown reappears in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Nintendo Switch in version 1.2.0. The Super Crown appears in the Special Episode after Chaos in the Grand Labyrinth is beaten as the final treasure to complete the entire episode.

Trivia

  • The concept of the Super Crown transforming Toadette into another character and granting her their abilities is similar to that of the caps in Super Mario 64 DS.
  • Prior to the game's release, starting with its Nintendo Direct reveal, the Super Crown and Peachette noticeably led to the creation of the infamous yet short-lived "Bowsette" meme following the creation of a webcomic created by Ayyk92 where Bowser and other characters are suddenly turned into Princess-like forms after obtaining the Super Crown before finally being disproven upon the game's release, which states that only Toadette can use the Super Crown.
