Diddy & Dixie BarrelDiddy & Dixie Barrel

Diddy & Dixie Barrels,[1] also known as Character Barrels,[2] are a type of Barrel Kannon that appears only in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. A Diddy & Dixie Barrel can be entered only by the Kong that it depicts, either Diddy Kong or Dixie Kong; by doing so, that Kong is blasted out from the Diddy & Dixie Barrel (the other Kong automatically follows them). If either Diddy or Dixie tries to enter a Diddy & Dixie Barrel that does not depict them, they pass straight through the barrel. Diddy or Dixie can also enter their respective Diddy & Dixie Barrel if the other Kong throws them into it via the team up ability.

A Diddy & Dixie Barrel sometimes appears at an End of Level Target, and it allows the Kongs to claim a prize upon hitting a target.
