The Courage Shell,[1] written in-game as CourageShell due to character limitations, is a type of armor for Bowser in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. According to its artwork, it resembles Bowser's normal shell, but much more reflective. The Courage Shell has a physical defense rating of twelve and a magical defense rating of six points. Unlike Bowser's other armor in the game, it is not part of any series shared with other characters', instead acting as an intermediate stand-in for the "Sailor" and "Fuzzy" series. It can be bought from the shop in Monstro Town as its sole armor, specifically for 60 coins. It is succeeded by the Fire Shell.
