A Papaya in Super Mario Sunshine.
Artwork of a papaya

Papayas[1] are a kind of real-world fruit found on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. If a Yoshi eats a papaya, the Yoshi becomes orange and can spit juice of the same color, which turns enemies into stationary orange platforms. In the episode The Yoshi-Go-Round's Secret, a papaya can be used to turn a Yoshi orange and allow access into the secret course.
