In Paper Mario, it is found near Raphael the Raven's tree in Jade Jungle, and can be bought from Merlow for eight Star Pieces. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it can be found in Petal Meadows (in an area accessible only through a pipe, bought from Dazzle for four Star Pieces, or potentially dropped by or stolen from Koopa Troopas, Shady Koopas, and Dark Koopas. It can be sold for 75 coins. Its effects differ slightly between games: if Mario equips it in Paper Mario, he has a 1 in 2 chance of recovering one HP at the end of his turn, and equipping multiple copies of Happy Heart increases the number of HP it heals incrementally.
