(Only a mockup, I'm not sure if I plan on finishing this. Feedback is much appreciated.)
Mario Kart World has a soundtrack. I don't know what to say here yet, sorry.
Style / Composition
Things to mention:
- The soundtrack uses a lot of heavy jazz fusion and Big band elements, following in the direction Mario Kart 8 went in with its music, but is also a lot more varied in general style. This is most apparent in the route and Free Roam arrangements. (Doesn't the soundtrack also take inspiration from T-Square or something? I forgot.)
- The title screen's E-F♯-E-F♯ note pattern and the "Super Mario Kart Title Screen" motif. Also the harmonica.
- Atsuko Asahi, Maasa Miyoshi, Takuhiro Honda and Yutaro Takakuwa, all of who are credited for the game's music.
- Anything relevant in the Ask the Developer interviews.
Music
(There are a LOT of songs in this game, so there's a non-0% chance this gets split.)
Main music
Things to mention:
- Preludes, codas, and how they transition to and from the main themes in each mode.
- Things that have changed from past Mario Kart entries.

Arrangements
Things to mention:
- General overview of the arrangements, definitely should go more in-depth than in Mario Kart World#Music.
- Total of 226 arrangements.
- How Grand Prix, VS Race, and Free Roam handle how they play their arrangements.
- "The Lick"
- Some songs share licks between each other
- A lot of older or otherwise simple songs have been reimagined, reharmonized and/or expanded on.
- Some arrangements are based on preexisting ones, like "Underground BGM" and "Main Theme (Super Mario 64)."
- Maybe also common types of songs that were not arranged, unfortunately I don't think this kind of thing deserves an entire section.
