Clambos[1] (known as Ms. Clamities[2] during the development of their debut game) are clams with eyes and long tongues, found underwater in Donkey Kong Country. They lie on the floor, invulnerable to all attacks. Clambos attack by spitting one to five pearls at Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong. While Clambos make their first Donkey Kong Country appearance in the "Coral Capers" level, they are the main threat of the subsequent underwater level, "Clam City".

Clambos also appear in Donkey Kong Land. However, instead of shooting pearls, they are opening and closing their shells, making them for the Kongs harder to avoid. Donkey Kong Land also has the Giant Clam as the boss of the area Kremlantis. Unlike its brethren this Clambo is capable of moving around in the water and aiming the pearls it shoots.

Some Clambos can be seen in the Club Nintendo comic "Donkey Kong Country." One of them bites a Chomps which is trying to attack Diddy and Donkey Kong, in order to attack the Kongs itself.
