In ''[[Donkey Kong Land III]]'' another Brothers Bear, named [[Bear]] appears. Bear's appearance is directly modeled after Bazaar's; it is possible that along with being brothers Bear and Bazaar are also twins.

Bazaar is a member of the Brothers Bear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. He runs a general store near Funky's Rentals from the southern part of the Northern Kremisphere map. Bazaar's name is taken from "bazaar", which is another term that refers to a marketplace or shopping center. Bazaar shares a personality with a typical shopkeeper, as he utilizes common sales techniques to arouse interest in his products,[1] and he charges high prices for items that he sells.

Appearance[edit]

Bazaar is a brown-furred bear who is only wearing a white apron. His artwork and Dixie Kong's Photo Album photograph also show him with a small, black mustache. In the Game Boy Advance remake, Bazaar is wearing a yellow sombrero and a black backpack.

In Donkey Kong Land III, the Bears bear a resemblance to Bazaar.

Description[edit]

Bazaar communicates to Kiddy.

Bazaar is the first Brother Bear that the Kongs meet on their journey. At his store, Bazaar is selling a shell that he found at the bottom of Lake Orangatanga and a mirror that belonged to Cranky Kong's great grandfather for 5 and 50 bear coins respectively. In the Game Boy Advance remake, he also sells a box of chocolates for 20 bear coins.

Bazaar has the most dialogue out of the other Brothers Bear. Dixie and Kiddy Kong can even purchase some information from Bazaar regarding secret caves or vague information regarding a mysterious castle. When purchasing information on the castle, Bazaar also mentions an encounter he had with the Hylian hero Link (and also references the Secret Seashells).[2] This dialogue was removed from the Game Boy Advance remake. Even after purchasing the information, Bazaar still charges the Kongs to hear the information again.

After the Kongs turn the lake in Krematoa red-hot and reveal the Knautilus, Bazaar sold a fan to Boomer for him to cool himself down from the resulting heat. Boomer affirms that Bazaar does not sell products for cheap.[3]
