The Kinopio[1] minigame is a Toad House minigame taking place inside Red Toad Houses in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. It is a shell game in which shuffled Flying ? Blocks must be hit to receive power-ups.
Instructions[edit]

You can hit two blocks. Be careful, though—if you hit a block with a

Gameplay[edit]
A row of five Flying ? Blocks can be found within the room. When the minigame begins, a panel is placed into each Flying ? Block. Three of these panels have Bowser emblems, while two have images of power-ups. Typically, a Super Mushroom and a Super Star are shown. When playing as Toadette, the Super Star panel is replaced by a Super Crown panel. In Superstar Road, a Propeller Mushroom and a Penguin Suit are shown instead.
Once the panels are assigned to each Flying ? Block and hidden, the Flying ? Blocks perform a sequence of 10 shuffles, which progressively become faster. After shuffling is complete, players can hit the Flying ? Blocks to release their panels. If a player releases a power-up panel, they receive the power-up shown. If a player releases a panel with a Bowser emblem, the minigame ends, and players will keep any power-up already obtained. Players can hit up to two Flying ? Blocks, as the game ends either by releasing both power-up panels or prematurely by releasing a panel with a Bowser emblem.
