According to Bazaar, who sells the Mirror at his general store for fifty Bear Coins, the Mirror once belonged to Cranky Kong's great grandfather, indicating that it is an antique of sorts. Baffle is also in need of the Mirror, for he needs it to decode a message. If the Kongs give it to him, he will tell them how to open up a Banana Bird Cave in KAOS Kore. However, this is technically optional, as players who are aware of how to open the cave can do so without speaking to Baffle.
If the "COLOR" cheat code is entered, the mirror turns green.

Should a player wish to purchase back the Mirror from either Barter or Baffle, they can do so, provided they pay either one of them ten Bear Coins.

Additionally, the Mirror has some strange effects on Barter and Baffle while it is in either of their possessions. If Barter has the Mirror, it will invert the layout of his swap shop, while if Baffle has it, he will speak backwards.

In the original Super Nintendo version, the Mirror turns green if the player has the "COLOR" cheat activated.

Bazaar, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

The mirror is a Brothers Bear item in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It can be bought from Bazaar's General Store for 50 bear coins. According to Bazaar, the mirror was formerly in possession of Cranky Kong's great grandfather. If Dixie and Kiddy Kong buy the mirror, they can trade it to Barter for his No.6 wrench, which they can in turn give to Björn for him to repair his chairlifts. Baffle is also in need of the mirror, which he needs to decode a message written by the Kremlings.[1] When the Kongs provide him the mirror, Baffle can decode the message, which reveals the location of Kaos Kore's secret cave. Providing the mirror is optional because the Kongs can still find the cave without talking to him.

The mirror has a unique mirror-type on each Brother Bear while they are in possession of it. If Barter has the mirror, the layout of his swap shop is inverted, although not in the Game Boy Advance version. If Baffle owns the mirror, he speaks in reverse. Dixie and Kiddy can reacquire the mirror from either Brother Bear by paying ten bear coins to them. The mirror is the only Brother Bear item that the Kongs can keep in their inventory up until they complete their journey.

If the "COLOR" cheat code is entered, the mirror turns green.
