Website description[edit]
In recent weeks we have been receiving a lot of questions about the Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, especially the former. In our effort to inform you as best as possible, here are some important statements from key company executives, subsidiaries/2nd developers and 3rd parties, which reveal the main virtues of the Nintendo GameCube.
Portions relating to the Super Mario franchise[edit]
- Shigeru Miyamoto, the leading game creator in the world right now:
- "Mario is a really good guy. He's not just a 'good character' - he works hard, fights for his family and his girlfriend. He prepares every day, because he has a starring role to play every time a new Nintendo console comes out. Right now it seems like he's preparing for the Nintendo GameCube. You're going to see a new side of him on the GameCube. Don't you think Mario and Luigi have been acting a little too childish lately? I want to see them act more like adults. So you're going to see a mature Mario. As for his brother (Luigi), he's got a cooler attitude about things now."
- "...(Luigi) now has a cooler attitude towards things" according to Mr. Miyamoto
- "This has to do with how we design the next Mario and his environments. I'm referring to the background scenery and Mario's facial expressions. In recent years, these have had a more child-like approach. What we're trying to achieve with the next Mario game is to make older players feel the same interest as younger players and not feel embarrassed playing it."
- In the Spaceworld demo, Luigi appeared in a haunted house. Indicative of Nintendo's change in mindset.
- Comment: and with top titles like Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong64, Goldeneye and Jet Force Jemini and the upcoming Dinosaur Planet, Banjo-Tooie and Conker for the Nintendo64[sic] this is more than a certainty.
- "The Mario 128 demo shown at Spaceworld took Mr. Miyamoto only 3 days to complete. I was amazed!!"
