In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is found in Twilight Town, in the Twilight Shop's storage room, and Rogueport Underground, in a hidden room only accessible with Boat Mode. There is a very rare chance that Chain-Chomps and Bob-ulks can hold these badges, and Ms. Mowz can steal the badge from them, but only if they are the closest target in range. It can be sold for 150 coins. If equipped, it raises Mario's defense by one, making him unable to be harmed by weak enemies such as Goombas. Equipping multiple Defend Plus badges increases the effect.
