- “Oh! Wow! That's an album page! It must have fallen from somewhere.”
- —Kersti in Water's Edge Way, Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Album pages are upgrades to the album in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. They are rare and fall from the sky, and in that way, they may be linked to stickers. When a page is obtained, it is added to the album's Stickers section. The album is forcefully turned to the Stickers section and to the new page, with blue ring effects accompanying the transition. A banner stating "New page added!" appears over the Touch Screen. Since battle stickers and thing stickers can be stored only in the Stickers section but cannot overlap with other stickers, every album page gained allows Mario to hold more of those kinds of stickers at once. Each page features a 10×6 grid, totaling 60 spaces. The smallest battle and thing stickers take up a 2×2 space, so each new page increases maximum sticker capacity by up to fifteen of those stickers. Stickers come in three sizes, which slightly complicates the numbers. The player acquires six album pages throughout the game, starting with two and ending with eight.
The primary way to obtain album pages is to collect a Royal Sticker from a boss encounter, with the album page being granted after the storybook cutscene explaining that boss. This event is not explained in-game, but the Royal Sticker that was received from the battle glows during the storybook cutscene, which may imply the involvement of Royal Stickers' powers. Collecting the Royal Sticker held by Bowser does not grant a new album page, probably because the only action the player can take after defeating Bowser in Bowser's Sky Castle is reaching the game's ending.
Before the player can collect any of the Royal Stickers, an event in Water's Edge Way grants the player an album page. In this course, a Toad finds an album page, only for Kamek to attempt to confiscate it. He runs away and crashes into Mario. The Toad asks Mario to take the page from them, then hands it over without waiting for a reply. The Toad retreats farther back in the course, and when Kersti realizes what Mario received, she explains how useful album pages are.
