A Purple Bomber in a hallway

Purple Bombers, also known as purple danglers,[1] are ghosts found in Luigi's Mansion and its remake. Purple Bombers are purple Ceiling Surprises and are usually found in the same places as them, but appear more often in later areas. One major difference between Ceiling Surprises and Purple Bombers is that Purple Bombers can attack with dropping a bomb. Purple Bombers have zero Heart Points and can be sucked up without effort. If the area is dark, the Purple Bombers keep returning. Luigi can extinguish Purple Bomber's bombs by spraying water on them before they explode. Unlike Ceiling Surprises, Purple Bombers do not always release a heart when sucked into the Poltergust 3000.
