Sparring Wario is Wario's boss microgame in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, found in the Intro Games folder, and the Intro picture book in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!

Gameplay[edit]

The microgame starts with Wario posing as a punching bag appears in the middle of the room he's in. The goal of the game is to destroy the punching bag. Each time Wario hits the bag the background temporarily blackens, circles close around it and swings higher. After a number of hits, the bag will swing high enough to go all the way around, which is when Wario must destroy it using a finishing move to jump. If Wario succeeds in doing so, the punching bag gets unchained, the background changes, he jumps in victory and the microgame is complete. However, if Wario gets smacked by the punching bag, he will get knocked over and lie on the ground. If Wario does not do anything, the bag detaches from its chain and rolls towards him, knocking him over. The microgame is lost in both of these cases.

As the microgame progresses, the punching bag becomes heavier and Wario will have to punch it more times to destroy it.

  • Level 1: The bag will take five punches to destroy.
  • Level 2: The bag will take seven punches to destroy.
  • Level 3: The bag will take nine punches to destroy.
