First appearance | Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (1992) |
Variant of | Bombshell Koopa Buzzy Beetle |
A Noko Bombette[1] is a powered-up version[2] of a Bombshell Koopa whose shell has grown so much it evolved into a Buzzy Beetle[3] in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They only appear in the Tree Zone's second stage. Unlike regular Buzzy Beetles, Noko Bombettes turn around when they reach a ledge, but they are still immune to fireballs. Unless a Spin Jump is used, jumping on a Noko Bombette will cause it to stop and explode after a few seconds. If Mario is caught in the blast, he will take damage. Compared to the original Bombshell Koopa from Super Mario Land, it takes slightly longer to explode after a stomp, but has a slightly bigger blast radius.
