Luigi's NEW Mansion is a mansion that appears after defeating King Boo in Luigi's Mansion. The new mansion's look depends on how much money Luigi has earned throughout the game. If Luigi earns Rank A, the mansion resembles a manor with an "L" mark, with progressively smaller and smaller houses with each lower rank. By Rank H, the structure is a tent.

There are differences between the PAL version (Europe and Australia) and NTSC versions (including Japanese NTSC version and North American NTSC version), however, since Rank A and B total has been made higher than the NTSC versions to get players to play through the Hidden Mansion, achieved after finishing the game for the first time.

Ranks and Gold required

  • Rank A: Finish the game with 100,000,001G or more + Message: Congratulations! Your mansion is complete!
  • Rank B: Finish the game with 70,000,001 to 100,000,000G. + Message: Welcome to Luigi's NEW Mansion! (Also appears for Ranks C-G)
  • Rank C: Finish the game with 60,000,001 to 70,000,000G.
  • Rank D: Finish the game with 50,000,001 to 60,000,000G.
  • Rank E: Finish the game with 40,000,001 to 50,000,000G.
  • Rank F: Finish the game with 20,000,001 to 40,000,000G.
  • Rank G: Finish the game with 5,000,001 to 20,000,000G.
  • Rank H: Finish the game with 5,000 to 5,000,000G. + Message: The haunted mansion disappeared without a trace...

The PAL version has the same values except that the player must get 150,000,001G or more for Rank A, as opposed to 100,000,001.
