World 2-2 (New Super Mario Bros.)

Template:Levelbox World 2-2 is the second level of World 2, in New Super Mario Bros..

This level starts out with three orange platforms, each hosting a Koopa. Underneath the second platform resides a ? Block containing a power-up. After the first abyss, the player will encounter a Lakitu. Kill the Lakitu with a fireball or shell and take its cloud. Using the cloud, ride to the top of the level where there is a line of coins that reaches to the sky. The first Star Coin should be located here, right before the second set of orange platforms. The player will find several coins and blocks by here. Past here, two more small abysses can be found, followed by a cage of blocks containing a few coins. Another Lakitu will appear by this point. Once again, three orange platforms hosting Koopas are found, followed by a pipe within an abyss. To the right of this pipe is the second Star Coin hidden underneath a small mass of land. Mario and Luigi will have to ground pound some bricks to obtain this Star Coin. A red pipe can then be found, along with several Bricks and ? Blocks. Located high above this cluster of blocks reside several coins which are only accessible via the use of a Lakitu Cloud. By this cluster of blocks is the checkpoint. Another Lakitu can be found, along with several blocks and two pipes. By entering the green pipe, the player will be rocketed up to a type of Coin Heaven. The final Star Coin is located in this Coin Heaven. Whether or not the player enters the coin heaven, he or she will have to run across tilting mushrooms that lead to the flagpole. Once the flagpole is touched, the level ends.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1 - The use of a Lakitu Cloud is required. It is located above the level right before the second set of orange platforms.
  • Star Coin 2 - It is locate below a rock formation. Ground Pound the nearby blocks to get to this coin.
  • Star Coin 3 - Go to the aforementioned Coin Heaven and the last Star Coin is easily obtained via pipe cannon.
