Skeeters[1] are large-bodied magenta versions of the enemy of the same name in New Super Mario Bros. They appear in only two of the game's levels: World 3-A and World 8-2. They skate aimlessly across the surface of water, dropping blue bombs drawn with white skulls. The bombs can destroy blocks, giving access to some Star Coins as a result. They and their bombs release coins upon being hit with a fireball from Fire Mario.
