"Wario Shipyard"[1] (known as "Wario's Galleon" in PAL regions) is a musical theme in Mario Kart 7, where it plays in the race course of the same name. This theme quotes "Main Theme" from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, "Title" from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, and Mario Kart 7's own battle theme.
History[edit]
Mario Kart 7[edit]
Mario Kart 7 marks the first appearance of "Wario Shipyard". A distorted arrangement of the theme with heavy percussion plays in the underwater section of the course. It is titled "Wario Shipyard (Underwater)" in the Nintendo Music app. For both themes, a looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

Mario Kart Tour[edit]
In Mario Kart Tour, the source-quality version of "Wario Shipyard" plays in 3DS Wario Shipyard, which was first added in the Wario vs. Waluigi Tour. As with Mario Kart 7, the source-quality version of "Wario Shipyard (Underwater)" plays in the underwater section of the course.
Mario Kart World[edit]

In Mario Kart World, a dance-rock arrangement of "Wario Shipyard" plays when racing in the course of the same name. This arrangement introduces a new string motif now associated with the course. Due to underwater driving not returning in this game, the underwater version from Mario Kart 7 is omitted, with the full arrangement instead playing throughout the entire course. In Knockout Tour, approaching the next checkpoint causes the theme to transition into one of five codas; prior to the release of the Drill Rally, Wario Shipyard was one of four courses whose theme lacked a coda, along with Acorn Heights (which would later get a coda with the release of the Propeller Rally), Great ? Block Ruins, and Rainbow Road.
When approaching Wario Shipyard from a route or during a rally before reaching the course's finish line, a simple prelude arrangement of "Wario Shipyard" plays. It is titled "Wario Shipyard (Intro)" in the Nintendo Music app. This prelude consists of the string motif being repeated with brief quotes of the bassline in between and backed by an electric piano and two guitars.
A remix of "Wario Shipyard (Intro)" that omits the string motif and the guitar on the right channel plays during the rolling start of the Drill Rally.
The theme that plays during the intro cutscene for the Star Cup quotes the string motif of "Wario Shipyard" when the course is being shown. It is titled "Opening (Star Cup)" in the Nintendo Music app.
