Crowber is a crow-like enemy found in the game New Super Mario Bros. Only seen in 8-1, these black birds swoop down at the player at high speeds. As progress is made throughout the level, more and more will appear and chase after the player. Crowbers fly fast, making it somewhat difficult for the player to defeat them.

Crowbers also reappear in the game New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This time, they are more purplish and appear in 7-Ghost House and 8-5.
