User talk:M&SG

From the Super Mario Wiki, the Mario encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search

This article is designed for people to talk to me about various articles that I've either made, edited, or redirected. If you have something that you need to talk to me about, I suggest you follow my standards below.

  1. Use your section of the article: Whenever someone talks to me for the first time, I'll create a section for them to talk to me from. This will make things easier for me to find out who has recently talked.
  2. If you haven't talked to me before: I have a section called Other Users on this article. If you don't see your personal section, talk through that section until I've created one for you. I'll move your discussions onto that specific section during the process.

As of 12/20/2011, I will no longer create sections for each user to input his/her messages. But remember to give names for the topics that you want to discuss with me.

Regarding how I'll reply, I'll create my own section on your User Talk article and then create a sub-section regarding a specific topic. To find my replies, look for the section name M&SG on the Contents if you have one available. Additionally, my signature will be shown after my discussion for you.

My signature: RedYoshiMK7Signature.png M&SG (talk)

If you follow my standards, then that'll make my work a little easier.

Archives[edit]

This section will display all of my archived messages throughout my session on the Mario Wiki. If too many discussions are in this article, I'll be moving any discussions displayed on the Discussions section onto a new article.

Keep note that once I've moved the past discussions onto a new article, you might have to post your new messages onto the Other Users sub-section if I don't happen to have your personal section displayed. If you've had a lot of discussions with me, I'll keep your section name available.

SSforWiiU Trophy[edit]

I've taken a look at the table again and I really don't like vertically splitting the PAL and NTSC trophy descriptions, it looks really unsightly, especially in lower resolution computers. How it was split before (horizontally split) is a better presentation than this. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 23:31, 9 September 2015 (EDT)

I'd probably end up doing it myself, but at least I told you why I'm changing that table again, because I really think it looks unsightly. Descriptions should be a little bit wider than it is right now, and you can also achieve singular descriptions with a single cell way of editing. Writing[edit]

Excuse me for popping in, but I noticed your recent edits to Straight Luge, and I just have a couple of comments: images do not need a |right tag, as they default to the right side, so it's best to leave them out and remove them from any future images you happen to come across; saying that something will do something is the future tense, and our Manual of Style isn't fond of that. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

The problem with that sentence is that you use "will" twice: "The more it is charged, the farther he'll travel, but the attack's power will not increase unless it's fully charged." Something more appropriate would be, "The more it is charged, the farther he travels, but its attack power does not increase unless it is fully charged." Hello, I'm Time Turner. 10:33, 9 November 2015 (EST)

Costume Mario[edit]

Hello!

I just saw this edit that you made, and I was wondering why it was done. For reference, there was a proposal about resizing the sprites to a X3 scale. Was there a reason for resizing all of the sprites to 48px? Please let me know. UserPyroGuy.png (T · C) 15:19, 24 November 2015 (EST)

The sprites aren't actually kept to the boundaries. For instance, Pac-Man's sprite clips over the wall. UserPyroGuy.png (T · C) 15:43, 24 November 2015 (EST)

Sandbox[edit]

Can you please stop emptying the sandbox so frequently. It's there for users to experiment and aside from spam and vandalism, it only really needs to be cleared periodically - not every time someone puts anything on it. That might even put some users off from using it. - Walkazo 16:25, 30 December 2015 (EST)

Puzzle & Dragons: Score Attack Bros.[edit]

Hey, M&SG. I've been working on the level pages for P&D:SMBE so I haven't gotten around to unlocking the forms of Mario and Luigi from the new Score Attack mode. Would you happen to have all of them already unlocked, and if so, what would their Guide statistics and Skill Up item requirements be (especially for Gold and Boomerang Bros.)? As always, any help is appreciated. --Zootalo (talk) 18:35, 10 January 2016 (EST)

P&D Level articles[edit]

Getting back to creating the rest of the level pages for P&D:SMBE -- extracting the XP and Coin values for the enemies in every course was an extremely tedious task. Do you have any suggestions for making the course pages more complete? Seems like it could use more info. --Zootalo (talk) 15:00, 19 January 2016 (EST)

P&D Boss Drops?[edit]

M&SG, in the Bosses section of the main P&D:SMBE page, it mentions that generic enemies that only appear as bosses have a very small chance of joining the party. That means they can appear in Baddie Blocks like the Koopalings, Bowser Jr. and Boom Boom, doesn't it (I don't think I've witnessed this myself, or I wasn't paying attention)? --Zootalo (talk) 09:46, 18 February 2016 (EST)

Hey M&SG[edit]

Hi what's up? I have a question to ask you? Why do all your new subject headlines to other users have your username? I look forward to your response ;) The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits) A Big Bandit from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. 03:40, 21 October 2016 (EDT)

Heads Up[edit]

Didn't notice you were working on File:MK8DX Character Roster.png. I moved it minutes after you made better edits, such as licensing, categorization, and fixing {{aboutfile}}. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 14:39, 25 January 2017 (EST)

Screenshots[edit]

Hello, I am a fairly new user and follow your work, I’ve noticed several 3DS/2DS screenshots in your image uploads, my question is how do you take a screenshot in the middle of the game on 2DS’/3DS’, because I have tried numerous times and can only get screenshots when there’s no suspended software My avatar Do The Mario (Talk) 05:55, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

Forum Account Stuff (Regarding "Mario & Sonic" Art Uploads)[edit]

Hey there, M&SG; it's been a while since I've been checking the forum side of this wiki, but do you still check your forum account from time to time? There's something I'd like to ask you regarding certain promo art stuff that you uploaded here related to the Mario & Sonic game installments. Let me know soon; thanks in advance. --M. C. - Profile | Talk Page 11:10, 8 October 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, sorry for the really long delay in replying back to you (RL matters have been treating me like heck as of late); but have you ever been to that "Sonic Wrecks" site (before it got changed to "Last Minute Continue")? --M. C. - Profile | Talk Page 21:30, March 17, 2019 (EDT)

A certain Kirby image[edit]

About a decade ago, you uploaded an image onto the Super Mario Wiki that was a swimming Kirby from The Amazing Mirror. WiKirby currently uses this same image, citing the Super Mario Wiki as the source. Is it possible you can remember where you got the original image from? Better quality[edit]

I see you pictures. How do I get the emulator and components? I tried installing, but I can not.
