The Mario Kart: Double Dash!! matching game is an Adobe Flash game made to promote Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on the Nintendo GameCube. It was the second game of the Racing Challenge competition on the official Mario Kart: Double Dash!! website.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Gameplay of the matching game

The game functions as a brief matching game, with the player having to match Mario Kart: Double Dash!! special items to their corresponding teams. The game takes place over three rounds, with three segments per round. The player always has two team choices as to whom they want to attempt to match an item to. The player has a time limit, however, which slowly decreases each round. The player has eight seconds in the first round, followed by four in the second, and two in the final. After the player finishes the final round, the game pulls up a screen that has two options: "play again" and "back to leaderboard." This screen also shows the player's percentage of correct matches.
