World 5-C
Template:Levelbox World 5-C is the third and final secret level in World 5 of New Super Mario Bros. The level is unlocked by clearing World 5-B, and clearing this level leads to World 5-4.
Layout
This underground level contains Buzzy Beetles and Broozers. Mario must let a Broozer break some blocks to get the first Star Coin. After avoiding a few falling Buzzy Beetles, Mario should grab one of their shells and throw it at the second Star Coin, found past a moving platform. To get the third Star Coin (and an easier way to the Flagpole), Mario must, after the checkpoint, see a row of four bricks with a longer row above it. He should jump on the bricks, hitting a brick above the one on the far right. Then he should hit the brick he's standing on (the far right) to reveal a Beanstalk. The player should climb it to a secret area with a Broozer (pictured). Mario should hit the P-Switch and let the Broozer punch his way through some blocks to get the third Star Coin. After he goes through the narrow hole, Mario will be at the Flagpole.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1 - Have the second Broozer destroy the columns of block blocking it and the player. Do not kill the Broozer, but have it follow you to the newly opened pathway. Hop on top of the big block formation surrounding a Star Coin. Have the Broozer destroy the bottom rows of the blocks, revealing an opening to the first Coin.
- Star Coin 2 - Right before the checkpoint, go the area with the moving platforms going downward. Stomp on the Buzzy Beetle and carry it to the right of the area. Throw it to obtain the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 - After the checkpoint there should be a row of four Brick Blocks. Hop on top of the blocks and destroy the blocks above them. Go back down and hit the block to the far right to reveal a beanstalk. Climb it and hit the P switch to turn the coins into blocks and vice versa. Quickly grab the attention of the Broozer and have it break the blocks covering the last Star Coin.
