The Strawberry is an ingredient in the cake that Princess Peach uses in an attempt to satisfy Gourmet Guy's hunger in Paper Mario. Peach makes the cake after Mario rescues the Star Spirit from the Shy Guy's Toy Box. The strawberry is the last item that Peach has to put in the cream, and she adds it after the cream is put on. Adding more than one of these to the cake will result in Gourmet Guy spitting it out and Peach having to make the cake again.
In Mario's Picross, strawberries made its appearance in the puzzle, Kinoko Course.
In Mario Party 2, strawberries appear on the tree in the minigame Honeycomb Havoc.
In Mario Party 4, strawberries appear in the Bowser minigame Fruits of Doom, as one of the potential fruits on Bowser's list.
