Template:Item-infobox The Cursed Key is an item in Super Mario Maker 2 added in the April 22, 2020 update, only available in the Super Mario Bros. style. It is a red Key that has a similar appearance to the ones in Super Mario Bros. 2 and glows pink. If Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Toadette pick it up, a Phanto appears and chases after them, damaging them if touched. It can even damage players who are not carrying the key.
