"Stench City,"[1] referred to as "Smelly Town" on The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Complete Series DVD, is a song from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Recycled Koopa." The Koopas resort to dumping their Koopa trash down a Warp Pipe to Brooklyn, where it turns all the humans into Koopa Zombies. As Mario and Luigi try to clean up the garbage themselves, the Koopa Zombies chase them while the song plays. In the Italian dub, "Slippin' and Slidin'" is played instead. "Stench City" appears to be a mild parody of "Surf City" by Jan and Dean.
