Purple Coin Spin Speed Run is the third mission of the Flipsville Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and its Nintendo Switch port. The mission is only playable if the player collected the Comet Medal in the Flip-Flopping in Flipsville mission and when a Prankster Comet is in orbit.

Mission[edit]

The Purple Comet must be in orbit in order to play this mission. The player will automatically go down the Warp Pipe on the Dirt Tower Planet to the Underground Gravity Area. The player will need to collect all the Purple Coins using the Spin Drill in two minutes and thirty seconds. The Power Star will appear in the middle of the area after the task is accomplished.
