List of shops in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Shops are places Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi can buy and sell items using coins in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. A total of four shops can be found across the Mushroom Kingdom of the past and present. Items that can be bought at shops include consumable items like Mushrooms and Refreshing Herbs, Bros. Items, and gear items like clothing and badges. Depending on the Stache stat of Mario's party, shopkeepers will grant a discount on purchased items, and give more coins when selling items. As the game progresses, most shops will begin to sell more items.
Compared to the North American version, the Japanese and European versions of the game have some stat and gameplay-related differences.[1] Whenever a North American-exclusive value is mentioned, it will be noted with "(NA)" following it, while Japanese and European-exclusive values will be noted with "(J/E)" following it.
List of shops[edit]
- Shroom Shop, located in the present Peach's Castle. This shop is run by two Toads and sells both items and gear. This shop is initially closed; it opens after showing Professor E. Gadd the first Cobalt Star shard from Bowser's Castle.
- Monty Mart, located in the past Gritzy Caves under Gritzy Desert. This shop is run by two Monty Moles and sells both items and gear.
- Gramma's Place, located in the past Toad Town. This shop is run by Gramma Red and Gramma Green and sells both items and gear.
- Fawful's Bean 'n' Badge, located in the present Peach's Castle Dungeon. This shop is run by Fawful. Unlike all other shops, this shop only sells badges, only accepts beans instead of coins, and Stache discounts cannot be used when buying here.
List of item shop inventories[edit]
The Shroom Shop (after it opens), Monty Mart, and Gramma's Place feature item shops to buy consumable items and Bros. Items. All item shops have the same inventory of items and Bros. Items.
Item inventories[edit]
In the North American version, 1-Up Mushrooms and 1-Up Supers cost 20 more coins compared to the Japanese and European versions.[1]
