Speed Skating 500m, a Speed Skating event in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Speed Skating is an event class that appears exclusively in the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. The class contains three events based around skating a required distance in the fastest time possible, Speed Skating 500m, Short Track 1,000m and Short Track Relay. The speed skating-based events Speed Skating 500m and Short Track 500m appear in the Nintendo DS version, but in this game are instead included in the Skating class. Speed Skating 500m and Short Track Speed Skating 1000m also appear with no specific class in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
