- —Battle text, Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Clipped is a status ailment which Mario can receive in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is symbolized by a fist covered by a red "X". Only Clip Guys can inflict it. When a Clip Guy successfully clips the player, Mario's HP bar will shake, and he will not be able to do anything — not even block incoming attacks — for two to four turns. If Mario is Clipped and a Paint Guy comes up to him, it will spill its paint on him immediately, without even having to push Mario first.
This status effect is similar to becoming Immobilized in earlier installments of the Paper Mario series.
