The course also returns as a Retro Battle Course in Mario Kart Wii. The inner walls are now color-coded (red, blue, yellow, and green). The music is also remixed, with instrumentation designed to mimic Mario Kart: Super Circuit's soundfont.

Tournaments

The GBA Battle Course 3 tournament

In Mario Kart Wii, there was a tournament that took place on this battle course. Players had to pass through a total of ten gates, which were placed at different areas of the course. Only the Wii Wheel could be used. It was the second tournament of May 2008, and it was later repeated as the second tournament of May 2010. It was repeated a third time as the second tournament of November 2011, a fourth time as the first tournament of February 2013, and a fifth time as the second tournament of April 2014.
