A Barney Bubble[1] is an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its reissue, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Barney Bubbles are purple with blue feet, as shown from their sprites, although their artwork erroneously depicts them as white with red feet. Its name is a pun on the name of the character Barney Rubble from The Flintstones. A Barney Bubble's behavior involves it quickly running back and forth. Whenever a Barney Bubble is stomped on, it produces bubbles.
