First4Figures is a United Kingdom and Hong Kong-based toy company established in 2003 that creates expensive high-quality statues based on popular licenses. They started creating licensed statues based on the Super Mario franchise in 2011. Statues can have Exclusive, Definitive, and Collector's Editions, which include more accessories, a larger statue, or other additional items. These are usually more expensive than the regular versions of the statues.

Mario Nintendo DS Holder[edit]

First4Figures' first Super Mario product was a 12 inch PVC statue of Mario that was designed to hold a Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi, or Nintendo 3DS. It was originally priced at $29.95.[1]

In 2017, First4Figures unveiled a 19 inch resin statue of Bowser. Both the Regular Edition and Exclusive Edition of the statue retailed for $699.99. The Regular Edition was a limited run of 750 statues.[8] The Exclusive Edition was a limited run of 1,000 statues, and includes an interchangeable LED Fire Breath effect and magnetized tongue.[9]

In October 2020, a second production run of an additional 750 statues for the Regular Edition only was announced.[10]

Mario and Yoshi Statue[edit]

Standard Edition

On January 13th, 2023, First4Figures uploaded a teaser video of an 8 inch PVC statue of Mario in the Pipe Frame,[13] followed by an official reveal on January 19th.[14] The Exclusive Edition, retailing for $174.99, includes an LED light-up version of the base from the Collector's Edition, limited edition numbering on the base, an authentication card, USB-C cable, rechargeable battery, and exclusive packaging.[15]
