This is a list of pre-release and unused content for the game Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
Early build
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast had an earlier iteration for the Nintendo GameCube, titled DK Bongo Blast. It was revealed at E3 2006, and had the DK Bongos for controller input. The game was later ported to the Wii. The only known stage in DK Bongo Blast is an earlier variant of DK Jungle.
DK Bongo Blast was later ported to the Wii and retitled Donkey Kong Barrel Blast (or Donkey Kong Jet Race in Europe). Some notable changes include: the DK Bongos graphic saying "Speed up!" was replaced with a Wii Nunchuk icon. The HUD, which displays the Wild Move counter, timer and lap count, is entirely different. The red balloons originally had the "DK" initials on them, which was changed to question marks in Barrel Blast. The character icons were originally placeholders of artwork from DK: King of Swing before receiving a unique design.

The HUD only received slight changes, including the timer being repositioned from the top-center to the top-right, the left-side icons were slightly shifted, and a vertical line showing the distance from the starting line was removed. There is artwork of an unused green balloon, which were presumably replaced by blue as it has an associated red balloon artwork.
Unused music
There are two unused music tracks found in the game's data. It is not known what they were supposed to be used for. [1] [2]
