Make Eggs, Throw Eggs is the first stage Yoshi must pass in the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Since it is the first level of the game, it serves pretty much as a tutorial of Yoshi's abilities and game play in general, in which the players learn how to play the game. For this reason, the level is considerably easy and short, even for the average gamer. Before this stage, Yoshi has to pass a very short level in which the game teaches the player the basics about Baby Mario; to always keep him on Yoshi's back, and to grab him by touching him if anything happens, like touching an enemy. Ba-dum BUM!, the first level in Yoshi's Island DS strongly resembles this level.

As the level starts, Yoshi finds himself in a field. There is a Message Block, that tells the player how to make eggs. Two Shy-Guys and a Crazee Dayzee are walking a few steps forward, along with a platform with another one. Upon advancing a bit more, there will be a Flower with a Piranha Plant next to it, which Yoshi must jump and dodge. There is a Winged Cloud not far away from it. The player must hit it with an egg, which will make some small platforms appear. After the player climbs up, they can collect several coins, as well as another Flower and some stars.
The level starts in a flat, flowery field with a nearby Message Block, telling the player how to make eggs. Slightly further along, there are a few Shy Guys, one on a suspended platform, and a Crazee Dayzee walking around. It is followed by a small rock with the first Smiley Flower above it and a Piranha Plant in a small ditch next to it. After the rock, there is a Message Block explaining how to throw Eggs, as well as a Winged Cloud in the air. Hitting the cloud with an egg will create a staircase leading to some coins, the first Red Coins, a Winged Cloud carried by a Fly Guy containing Stars, and a Smiley Flower.

Once the player is back down, they find two Piranha Plants blocking a Warp Pipe. The player must hit them both or just one of them and enter the pipe which leads to a cave. In this underground area, Yoshi has to use a Chomp Rock and collect the coins all over the place. After exiting the Warp Pipe and going forward for a while, there will be a Winged Cloud that if hit will cause a Beanstalk to appear. After climbing it, the player may go left to find a Flower. After that, the player may jump down and fall on the ledge of the platform below for another Winged Cloud, which uncovers the last stars needed for the level. After that, the player must climb the beanstalk again and continue right where they will find the goal roulette.
Back on the ground, two Piranha Plants block access to a Warp Pipe, leading to an underground section. Within it is a Chomp Rock used to roll over a few Shy Guys and access a high ledge with the exit pipe, a few Fly Guys carrying Red Coins, and a Tulip.

The exit to the underground section is not far from its entrance, under two rocks, with the third Smiley Flower being to the immediate left of it. The area to the right of it contains the fourth Smiley Flower underneath a Piranha Plant, as well as a rotating platform. Moving forward, there is a pipe which spawns an infinite number of Shy Guys, with a Winged Cloud containing Stars above it. After going through a short tunnel, there is a Winged Cloud that must be hit, sprouting a beanstalk which allows access to the platforms above. Back to the left, past the edge of the upper platform, there is another Winged Cloud containing the final Smiley Flower for the level. Over to the right, there is another spinning platform that allows access to an even higher ledge. Upon it is a Message Block explaining the purpose of Red Coins, as well as another Chomp Rock. The rock can be rolled down the hill past more Shy Guys and Piranha Plants, leading to the Goal Ring.

Template:Levelbox Make Eggs, Throw Eggs is the first level of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It serves as the main tutorial of the game, featuring multiple Message Blocks detailing many of Yoshi's abilities and other game mechanics. Ba-dum BUM!, the first level in Yoshi's Island DS, bears a strong resemblance to this level.

Overview

Smiley Flowers

 • Smiley Flower 1: Right past the first Crazee Dayzee, in plain sight.
 • Smiley Flower 2: On a platform in the air, access from the platforms created by the first Winged Cloud.
 • Smiley Flower 3: Under the rocks immediately to the left of the exit to the underground area.
 • Smiley Flower 4: Directly to the left of the first spinning platform, under a Piranha Plant.
 • Smiley Flower 5: In a Winged Cloud to the left of the beanstalk, slightly past the ledge.
