A Super Guide Block is a special green block coming from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It looks similar to a ! Block. The Super Guide Block will appear when the player has lost eight lives consecutively in the same level. If Mario hits the block, the Super Guide mode will be activated and Luigi will appear, while the computer within the game controls him to clear the stage in place of the user. If the player presses the 1 button on the Wii Remote, the player may choose to deactivate the Super Guide mode, and take control of Luigi. However, if the level is beaten, it won't count as a true win. In fact, if the player gets a Star Coin with Luigi, it won't count.
