The Courtyard is a location in the Lake Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It is a small pool area found at the start of the kingdom. During Mario's initial visit, the stairs connected to the courtyard are broken, though with some quick movement Mario is able to get up to the courtyard as a shortcut, bypassing the tunnel, which Cappy comments on. After peace is restored to the kingdom, the stairs become repaired. Mario may also reach the courtyard by using the Hat Trampoline on the ledge on the other side.

There is a small pool of water in the middle of the courtyard, with a painting inside leading to either the Southwestern Floating Island in the Sand Kingdom (if the player chose to visit the Lake Kingdom first) or the Floating Sky Island in the Luncheon Kingdom (if the player chose to visit the Wooded Kingdom first). After the story mission Broodals Over the Lake is completed, Lakitu can be found fishing in the pool. Mario may capture him and reel in the biggest fish in the floor for a Power Moon. Next to the pool is a Checkpoint Flag.

The Lake Kingdom brochure claims the pool has a rich history, having been used to relax and dye cloth, and is now used for fishing, referring to the hole the painting is found in as a deep end.

Goombas wearing wedding veils resembling the Lochlady Dress are found around the courtyard. Mario may capture them and create a Goomba Tower to find a ledge overlooking the courtyard with four regional coins. After this kingdom's Moon Rock has been opened, Mario may also capture a Goomba and bring it down to Goombette near the Odyssey for a Power Moon.
