“Once a spot for designers to relax and even dye cloth, this soaking pool has a rich history. Since most activity centers around the lake town, this is now a well-known fishing hole.”
Lake Kingdom brochure, Super Mario Odyssey

The Courtyard is a location in the Lake Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It is a small pool area found at the start of the kingdom. During Mario's initial visit, the stairs connected to the courtyard are broken, though with certain movement Mario is able to get up to the courtyard as a shortcut, bypassing the tunnel. After peace is restored to the kingdom, the stairs become repaired. Mario can also reach the courtyard by using the Hat Trampoline on the ledge on the other side.

There is a small pool of water in the middle of the courtyard, with a painting inside leading to either the Southwestern Floating Island in the Sand Kingdom (if the player chose to visit the Lake Kingdom first) or the Floating Sky Island in the Luncheon Kingdom (if the player chose to visit the Wooded Kingdom first). After the story mission Broodals Over the Lake is completed, Lakitu can be found fishing in the pool. Mario can capture him and reel in the biggest Cheep Cheep in the floor for Power Moon #15, Lake Fishing. A Checkpoint Flag is also next to the pool.

Goombas wearing wedding veils resembling the Lochlady Dress are found around the courtyard. Mario can capture them and create a Goomba Tower to reach a ledge with four regional coins overlooking the courtyard. After this kingdom's Moon Rock is opened, Mario can capture a Goomba and bring it down to Goombette near the Odyssey for Power Moon #39, Love by the Lake.
