Moon Shards in the Sand is the second story mission of the Sand Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. The mission's objective is to collect five Moon Shards in the Moe-Eye Habitat.
Layout[edit]
The mission begins on the Tostarena Ruins Round Tower, and Mario must follow a series of Lifts on tracks while occasionally utilizing Hat Launchers and Pulse Beams to destroy blocks. Afterwards, Mario will end up in the Moe-Eye Habitat, and he can immediately find the first Moon Shard next to a Moe-Eye. The second Moon Shard can be found on a hidden platform just over some poison. Mario must then head south and clip the edge to find the third Moon Shard in between two cacti. Mario can then head northeast, ride a lift to some pillars, and follow the hidden platforms to the fourth Moon Shard. The fifth and final Moon Shard is west of some green birds. Mario must then head east of these birds to claim the Power Moon.
