The location of a Power Moon in Super Mario Odyssey
Appears in Super Mario Odyssey (2017)
Greater location Seaside Kingdom

The Lighthouse is a location in the Seaside Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It is structured like a typical lighthouse, with a tall, thin body and an observation deck at the top, though there is no discernible light source. It is accessed via the Underwater Tunnel to the Lighthouse, the entrance to which is nearby. At the end of the tunnel is a Warp Pipe taking Mario up to the top of the Lighthouse, where there is a Checkpoint Flag and Power Moon for the objective "The Lighthouse Seal." Collecting this Power Moon opens a Ground-Pound Switch that, when ground-pounded, launches a cork at Mollusque-Lanceur, as part of the story objective "The Glass Is Half Empty!" After Mollusque-Lanceur is defeated, a pole appears next to the Lighthouse, allowing Mario to climb to the top. Two Volbonans appear atop the Lighthouse after the story is completed.

It is possible to reach the top of the Lighthouse without going through the tunnel by capturing a Gushen and hovering over to it from where the Power Moon for the objective "The Stone Pillar Seal" is located. If this is the first method used to scale the Lighthouse, Cappy will compliment Mario for making it there without needing a refill.
