Deep Magma Bog Observatory #1 is unlocked by clearing Muncher Fields and removing the black Piranha Plants blocking the way to Deep Magma Bog.

This observatory unlocks the following courses:

Before entering the house, the player must pull a handle to raise some blocks into a staircase formation. An Arrow Sign points to the right, and following it leads to the observatory itself. There are two Poplins inside, with one explaining to the player and Prince Florian that Bowser Jr.'s takeover of the palace is causing the magma's temperature to rise, and the ivy to grow out of control. They will ask them to help, and give them a Wonder Seed for good luck.

When returning after clearing Deep Magma Bog Palace, the first Poplin will report that the magma has returned to normal, and tell how happy they are to return to its observation. When Prince Florian expresses his surprise at them staying in Deep Magma Bog, the Poplin will reaffirm their excitement at the prospect of studying the magma.

Deep Magma Bog Observatory #2 is unlocked by clearing Deep Magma Bog Observatory #1 and paying the Poplin 50 flower coins to break the rock blocking the path.

Upon entering the house, the Poplin inside will comment on how scraggly the ivy has become, with Prince Florian agreeing. The Poplin will muse about the strangeness of the situation, then give him and the player a Wonder Seed, claiming they found it tangled up in the ivy.

When returning after clearing Deep Magma Bog Palace, the Poplin will hope out loud that the ivy won't be as bad anymore.

Deep Magma Bog Observatory #3 is unlocked by clearing Hot-Hot Hot!'s regular exit.

Upon entering the house, the Poplin inside will tell Prince Florian and the player of their desire to take back the palace on his own, despite "things being too hot to handle". They will then give him and the player a Wonder Seed.

When returning after clearing Deep Magma Bog Palace, the Poplin will tell the player about the Coin Magnet badge sold in the nearby Poplin Shop.

Deep Magma Bog Observatory #4 is located in Deep Magma Bog's Scorched Area, and it is unlocked by clearing Pull, Turn, Burn.

Upon entering the house, the Poplin inside will inform Prince Florian that the magma in the area is rising, and urge him to take back the palace. They will then give him and the player a Wonder Seed.

When returning after clearing Deep Magma Bog Palace, the Poplin will report that the magma in the area has settled down, and thank the player for allowing them to study it in peace.
