Explosive Situation

The heroes all run at the Bob-omb in Beacon Town

Explosive Situation is a battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Beacon Beach, specifically in Beacon Town. It is part of the Main Quest In Deep Water. While the heroes head to Beacon Town to stop a "horrible menace" according to Augie, the menace is actually a Bob-omb, which has terrified the Rabbids into hiding inside their homes. The heroes must stop it in a battle.

Before the battle, the heroes spot the Bob-omb, who then notices them, and runs towards them. The heroes do the same, and the player must press the button for Mario to dash at the Bob-omb, starting the battle. If this is the player's first battle, an additional cutscene will play before the battle, where all the heroes fly into battle.

Layout

The battle

The layout of the battlefield is a small square shape, with a building in the center. All 9 Bob-ombs are scattered across the battlefield, with one of them starting on top of the building. Specific Bob-ombs are lined up, showing the player that Bob-ombs can be thrown at groups of enemies.

If this is the player's first battle, a tutorial message appears, telling the player to throw the Bob-ombs at other enemies. After all of the Bob-ombs are defeated, the battle is won.
