Paper Mario is a stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The stage is based upon the Paper Mario series of Super Mario games, being a transforming stage based upon various locations from the series.
The players start in the windmill area of Hither Thither Hill from Paper Mario: Sticker Star; the area with the windmill is a drop-off, while the other end is a walk-off point; while the game is paused, the player can see the exit to the area as it would appear in the game. The spinning blades of the windmill act as a platform that rotates when the player stands on it, as does the cloud floating in the air by a string above. Occasionally, the Fan thing appears, blowing players to the other end of the stage. A Warp Pipe also appears near the windmill, which acts as a trampoline.
