- This article is about the first world in Donkey Kong Country Returns. For the fourth area in Donkey Kong, see Jungle (Donkey Kong). For the Subspace Emissary stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, see The Jungle.
Template:Worldbox The Jungle is the first world of Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. It is located on Donkey Kong Island, and the Tiki Tak Tribe seem to have infested it. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong trek through this jungle to retrieve Donkey Kong's Banana Hoard. It is the first world, so it introduces some of the new mechanics of this game and also revives some old mechanics from the original Donkey Kong Country. The first stage is shared with Kongo Jungle of the first Donkey Kong Country. Mugly is the boss of this world in the game.
The Jungle is seen again in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. This time, along with the whole island it belongs to, the Jungle has become an ill, snowy environment due to the conquering of the Snowmads. However, it does not appear as a whole world, but rather as a representative level: Homecoming Hijinxs.
