This article is about Meteor Moat, a level in New Super Mario Bros. U. For other uses, see Peach's Castle-1.

Template:Levelbox Meteor Moat, or Peach's Castle-1, is the first course of Peach's Castle in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via completion of Boarding the Airship and its own completion unlocks Magma-River Cruise, while the secret exit unlocks Firefall Cliffs.

Layout

Like World 8-1 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the course is bombarded with raining debris; unlike the aforementioned level, however, Meteor Moat does not exactly show where the fireballs come from. The platforms and ground in this course constantly move up, down. left, and right into the lava.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In plain sight, under a few Brick Blocks and over a portion of ground that sinks into the lava.
  • Star Coin 2: Underneath some Brick Blocks, the player must use Super Mario or the raining debris to break them.
  • Star Coin 3: After the P Switch, inside a pit directly over lava.

Secret Exit

Hit the P-Switch before the third Star Coin and dash across the coins-turned-Brick Blocks to reach the pipe in the air to get to the red Goal Pole. This unlocks Firefall Cliffs.
