Bomb Ball

Bomb Balls are Lemmy Koopa's signature weapons in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. They are variants of Koopa balls, but they can now explode like bombs. When Lemmy throws these bombs, the force of him throwing them incapacitates him, making him vulnerable to Mario's jumps. It replaces Lemmy's wand from the other Super Mario games.

Lemmy throws the Bomb Balls in an arch-like pattern. Like Koopa balls, they bounce upon coming into contact with the ground, and if the player touches a bomb, it flashes red and explodes after a period of time. During the third phase of the battle, Lemmy throws a much larger Bomb Ball at the player.
